The PSBA Lady Jaguars turned on the heat in the second set and walloped the PATTS College of Aeronautics Sea Lionesses, 25-13, 25-19, 25-18, in this spikefest supported by Mikasa and Molten Balls.
Over at the Philippine Merchant Marine School gymnasium in Las Pinas, the RTU Blue Thunder made their presence felt with a 23-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-18 beating of the Olivarez College Sea Lions in the men's competition.

Veteran spiker Giselle Bembo then joined hands with Jessa Fernandez in unleashing their powerful serves as the Lady Patriots erected a 10-3 spread in the second set.
On the other hand, the Lady Jaguars were slightly ahead, 5-4, in the second set when efforts by Dyrene Rose Benecio and Joan Arceo at the frontline paid off as their defensive plays allowed PSBA to move decisively ahead, 11-5.
