征戰台北、吉隆坡、長春 三大國際大學體育賽事
菲國學生運動員站上世界舞台

菲律賓大學體育聯合會訊：菲律賓大學體育聯合會（FESSAP）正迎來近年最活躍的國際賽事年，積極組織學生運動員及代表團官員，出征亞洲三地重大大學體育盛會。從台北的羽球錦標賽、吉隆坡的東盟大學運動會，到中國長春的世界大學冬季運動會，FESSAP再次展現菲律賓在全球大學體壇中積極、堅定的參與決心。
 
羽球新秀赴台北 競逐亞洲大學羽球錦標賽
首支代表團將於2026年6月啟程前往台北市，兩位來自德拉薩大學達斯馬里尼亞斯分校（DLSU–Dasmariñas）的年輕選手Thomas Neo Gatdula與John Benedict Oliveros，將代表菲律賓角逐亞洲大學羽球錦標賽。
FESSAP理事會任命Katelyn Chen擔任代表團團長，並由德拉薩大學達斯馬里尼亞斯分校體育主任Gerry Sergio及FESSAP理事會秘書Cecille Sarmiento隨行支援。選手均由FESSAP羽球俱樂部提名選拔，該俱樂部長期在全國發掘與培養具潛力的大學羽球人才。
本屆亞洲大學羽球錦標賽由亞洲大學體育總會主辦，賽程為期五天，設有男女個人賽及混合團體賽。
 
黃美麗領軍 第22屆東盟大學運動會吉隆坡登場
2026年12月，菲律賓的國旗將再度飄揚海外——此次目的地為馬來西亞吉隆坡，參加第22屆東盟大學運動會。
FESSAP理事會指定黃美麗出任代表團團長，此一任命彰顯其長期投身區域大學體育的深厚資歷。她將由副團長王家煙及Christian Tan共同襄助，確保菲國代表隊具備堅實的領導與協調。
東盟大學運動會長久以來是東南亞學生運動員最重要的競技舞台之一，推動青年交流、公平競技與區域團結。
 
陳炳清掌旗出征 2027年世界大學冬季運動會前進長春
時程再往前推進至2027年1月，菲律賓將參與全球最大規模的大學綜合運動賽事之一——第33屆世界大學冬季運動會，在中國吉林省長春市登場。
FESSAP信託理事會已任命FESSAP會長陳炳清擔任菲律賓代表團團長，其數十年來對大學體育發展的領導貢獻，正是這項任命的底蘊。同時，商人Christian D. Tan出任副團長，強化代表團的領導陣容。
陳炳清會長進一步透露，基於尊重與肯定，開幕典禮菲律賓掌旗官的榮譽可望交由FESSAP主席戴亞明承擔，只要他願意接受。戴亞明主席長期為FESSAP的重要支柱，對菲律賓大學體育的成長貢獻深獲各界推崇。
 
一個願景：讓菲國學生運動員在世界發光
綜觀三項國際賽事，FESSAP始終高舉一貫不變的原則：全球經驗，對菲律賓學生運動員的成長至關重要。

FESSAP執行長林剛陵代表聯會強調，這些國際歷練機會，是形塑下一代領袖與冠軍的關鍵。林剛陵並由衷感謝合作夥伴陳永栽集團（LT Group Inc.）、PAGCOR、HENN Athletic Club以及菲律賓航空公司的長期支持。

林剛陵表示：「每當一名菲律賓學生運動員踏上國際舞台，他們身上承載的不僅是學校的顏色，更是整個國家的希望。這些經歷能磨練品格、強化紀律，並開拓他們對世界的視野。FESSAP會繼續為我們的青年打開大門，讓菲律賓在全球大學體壇中，持續被看見、受尊重，並保持競爭力。」

從2026年到2027年初，三大代表團陸續成軍出征，FESSAP的積極布局，正為菲律賓大學體育注入一股嶄新動能——建立在扎實的領導、豐富的機會，以及菲國運動員永不止息的精神之上。

【菲律賓大學體育聯合會新加坡訊】 菲律賓大學體育聯合會（FESSAP）正式提名菲律賓中學體育聯合會（PISSA）會長黃美麗（Mary G. Ng），擔任第22屆東盟大學運動會（ASEAN University Games, AUG）菲律賓代表團團長。本屆運動會將於2026年12月10日至19日在馬來西亞吉隆坡盛大舉行。
 
此項任命是在2026年1月27日於新加坡舉行的東盟大學運動理事會（AUSC）會議上正式宣布。該會議的核心議程為第22屆運動會的籌備工作。東盟大學運動理事會由11個成員國組成，包括：汶萊、新加坡、印度尼西亞、馬來西亞、老撾、柬埔寨、越南、緬甸、泰國、東帝汶及菲律賓。
 
本屆賽事由馬來西亞首相安華·伊布拉欣（Anwar Ibrahim）領導的政府主辦。首相透過馬來西亞高等教育部、馬來西亞大學體育聯合會及 AUSC 執行委員會證實，為確保賽事運作的高效與統一，所有賽事將集中在吉隆坡舉行，而非分散於雪蘭莪、莎阿南、八打靈再也及布城等地。
 
在會議現場，FESSAP 秘書長兼 AUSC 財務長 Maria Cecilia Sarmiento 代表菲律賓提交了委任黃美麗為代表團團長的決議案。該決議案已獲得 FESSAP 會長陳炳清及董事會的批准。FESSAP 領導層成員包括：董事會主席戴亞明、副主席 Baldomero Estenzo 律師、副會長 Felix Tiukinhoy、Ariel Querubin、Jesus Rodrigo Torres 博士、財務長 Jeane Monteverde，以及董事施福壽、Sean Elijay Siy、Melchor Divina、Gerardo Sergio 及 Maria Luz Mendoza 律師。該提名文件由 AUSC 主席、來自泰國的 Phassakon Nuntapanich 正式接收。
 
作為代表團團長，黃美麗將率領菲律賓代表隊參與多項競技，包括：田徑、射箭、羽球、籃球、西洋棋、足球、空手道、游泳、乒乓球及排球。

執行長暨秘書長林剛陵撰文弔唁

菲律賓大學體育聯合會（FESSAP）懷著無比沉痛的心情，沉痛宣布本會永遠榮譽會長、執行副主席兼執行委員會共同主席——羅伯特・米爾頓・卡洛教授，於2026年1月1日在澳門醫院安詳辭世，享壽79歲。

卡洛教授一生致力於菲律賓大學體育的發展，其卓越的領導能力、無私的奉獻精神與宏遠的視野，對我國大專院校體育體系的成長與國際化，具有不可磨滅的深遠影響。他對學生運動員的關懷與付出，以及對FESSAP的貢獻，將永遠被銘記與敬仰。

2025年11月29日，卡洛教授仍不辭勞苦，親赴澳門出席亞洲大學體育總會（AUSF）會員大會，並由德拉薩大學達斯馬里尼亞斯校區的傑拉多・塞吉奧教授陪同。即便在人生最後的數月，他對推動大學體育發展的熱忱依然堅定不移。

卡洛教授生前最為掛念、尚未完成的重要使命之一，為他於1998年親手創立的「菲律賓校際、學院暨大學體育協會（PISCUAA）」之全面復興。本人謹在此鄭重承諾，將承繼其遺志，持續推動PISCUAA在FESSAP及菲律賓中學體育聯合會（PISSA）架構下茁壯發展，以告慰其在天之靈。

自1999年FESSAP成立以來，卡洛教授便是我最重要的夥伴與分身。我們攜手打造聯合會，他促成PISCUAA、PRISAA及SCUAA等組織加入，而我則引入菲華體育聯會（PICAA）、菲律賓籃球協會（BAP）、MASA等聯盟。當時，卡洛教授擔任菲律賓理工大學（TUP）體育主任，FESSAP首個秘書處亦設於該校。

我們共同努力，建立一個向全國大專院校敞開的大學體育體系，至今已吸納超過600所學院與大學成為會員，並以全國最低廉的會費運作。我們的初衷從非營利，而是為年輕運動員開啟通往國際舞台的大門。

2007年，FESSAP成功加入國際大學體育總會（FISU），這是菲律賓大學體育史上的重要里程碑。當年，我與卡洛教授親赴泰國曼谷，拜會時任FISU主席喬治・基里安（George Killian）——他亦是我自1998年於國際籃總（FIBA）服務期間結識的多年摯友。儘管當時遭遇少數亞洲人士的阻撓，基里安主席仍明確向我們保證，FESSAP終將獲得接納。其諾言最終實現，也讓卡洛教授的遠見正式登上國際舞台。

其後，卡洛教授曾出任FESSAP會長，並長期擔任會員委員會主席與世界大學生運動會監督委員會主席，同時亦兼任菲律賓定向越野協會、副會長、菲律賓合球協會副會長，以及菲律賓校際體育協會副會長，皆為國際體育組織所承認之團體。他亦為FESSAP執行委員會共同主席、菲律賓大學排球聯盟的重要推手、亞洲大學籃球總會（AUBF）前會長、亞太大學體育聯盟（APUSU）副會長，以及菲律賓籃球協會（BAP）會長，對體育界貢獻卓著。

我們共同的另一項心願，是建立一座永久性的FESSAP會址，作為聯合會逾25年歷史的象徵與傳承。此一願景雖尚未完成，卻將列為我們持續努力的使命，並以他的名義完成。
謹代表菲律賓大學體育聯合會，向卡洛教授的家屬致以最深切的哀悼與慰問。我們與家屬同感哀傷，並將在其返國後，就相關事宜保持密切聯繫，提供一切必要的支持與協助。

卡洛教授的精神與貢獻，將永遠激勵FESSAP以及整個菲律賓大學體育界。他的身影，將長存於無數受其啟發的學生運動員與體育同道心中。

我將永遠懷念這位並肩作戰的戰友、夥伴與摯友。終有一日，我們必將於永恆中再相會。

FESSAP Condolence Message
It is with profound sorrow that the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP) announces the passing of Prof. Robert Milton A. Calo, our esteemed Executive Vice President and Co-Chair of the FESSAP Executive Committee, on January 1, 2026.
Prof. Calo’s leadership, dedication, and vision were instrumental in shaping the growth of university sports in the Philippines. His tireless commitment to student-athletes and his invaluable contributions to FESSAP will forever be remembered and honored.
​
On November 29, 2025, Prof. Calo attended the General Assembly of the Asian University Sports Federation (AUSF) in Macao, accompanied by Prof. Gerardo Sergio of De La Salle University–Dasmariñas. Even in his final months, his devotion to advancing university sports remained steadfast.

Prof. Calo leaves behind unfinished work close to his heart, particularly the revival of the Philippine Inter-Schools, Colleges, and Universities Athletic Association (PISCUAA), which he founded in 1998. In his memory, I vow to continue this mission, ensuring that PISCUAA thrives under the affiliation of FESSAP and PISSA, as he wished.

Since the founding of FESSAP in 1999, Prof. Calo was my alter ego and partner in building the federation. He brought in organizations such as PISCUAA, PRISAA, and SCUAA, while I contributed the Basketball Association of the Philippines, PICAA, MASA, and other leagues. At that time, Prof. Calo was the Athletic Director of the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), where the first FESSAP Secretariat was housed.

Together, we worked tirelessly to establish a system that welcomed over 600 colleges and universities into FESSAP, with the most affordable membership fee in the country. Our goal was never financial gain, but to open doors for student-athletes to compete internationally.

In 2007, FESSAP achieved membership in the International University Sports Federation (FISU). This milestone was realized when Robert and I traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, to meet then FISU President George Killian, a longtime friend from the basketball community dating back to my years with FIBA in 1998, when George himself was FIBA President.

Despite opposition from a few individuals in Asia who sought to block our membership, President Killian assured Robert and me that FESSAP would be welcomed into FISU. His promise was fulfilled, and with it, Robert’s vision for Philippine university sports gained international recognition.
 
Prof. Calo later served as the first FESSAP President and continued to lead as Chairman of the Membership Committee and Universiade Monitoring Committee. He also held key positions as Vice President of the Orienteering-Philippines, the Korfball Association of the Philippines, and the Philippine Inter-School Sport Association (PISSA)—all affiliated with international federations. He was Co-Chair of the FESSAP Executive Committee, a guiding force in the Philippine University Volleyball League, former President of the Asian University Basketball Federation (AUBF), Vice President of the Asia Pacific University Sports Union (APUSU), and President of the Basketball Association of the Philippines (BAP).

One of our shared dreams was to build a permanent FESSAP Headquarters, a lasting monument to more than 25 years of history. This vision will remain part of our unfinished business, but it will be pursued in his honor.

On behalf of the federation, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Prof. Calo. We share in your grief and stand with you during this difficult time. Financial matters and related concerns will be discussed upon your return to the Philippines, and we will remain in close communication to provide support.

Prof. Calo’s legacy will continue to inspire FESSAP and the entire university sports community. His memory will live on in the countless student-athletes and colleagues whose lives he touched.
I will deeply miss my brother-in-arms, my partner, and my friend.

Someday, we shall meet again eternally.

Merry Christmas, my dear old friend Robert.

As I look back on our journey together, I am filled with gratitude for the three decades of partnership we have shared commonly. From the very first inaugural championship — the 1st Philippine University Games in 2007, the first Asia Pacific University Games, the first Philippine University Volleyball League and Basketball League, where we stood side by side making history, to our bold step in 2007 when we joined the FISU family in Bangkok and met George Killian (FISU President and FIBA President in 1998), we have walked a path filled with triumphs, challenges, and unforgettable memories.

We celebrated victories, endured setbacks, and yet through it all, we remained steadfast partners in destiny. You, with your love for volleyball, and I, with mine for basketball, together we built bridges, empowered athletes, and left a mark on Philippine sports that will endure beyond us.
Robert, your loyalty, wisdom, and friendship have been a gift in my life.

​This Christmas, I honor not only the successes we achieved but also the spirit of camaraderie that carried us through every trial.
 
Truly, we did great, and we made history. As Frank Sinatra said, We Did It Our Way”.

菲律賓大學體育聯合會訊：菲律賓大學體育聯合會（FESSAP）會長陳炳清先生，於2025年7月14日親自率團，出席在德國埃森與柏林舉行的第32屆世界大學生運動會（WUG），並參加國際大學體育總會（FISU）會員大會，展現菲律賓在全球體育外交與大學生體育交流上的積極承擔。

此次會議，陳炳清會長由特助林剛陵之子林小剛隨同出席，並由FESSAP法律顧問、同時為FISU法律委員會2027年前成員的律師Maria Luz Arzaga-Mendoza全程協助。林小剛負責大會議程策略規劃，並協助籌備2027年於韓國舉辦的第33屆世大運。

會中，陳炳清會長正式被介紹給FISU法律委員會，該會由主席Hans Bodmer（瑞士）、副主席Rodrigo Arias Grillo（哥斯大黎加）、副主席Renata Kopczyk（波蘭）、委員Nicolas Cottier（瑞士）、Maria Luz Mendoza（菲律賓）、Etienne Vauthier（比利時）、鄭志偉（中國）所組成。

陳會長並與FISU主席Leonz Eder深入交流，分享他對「體育促進文化理解與團結」的理念。

本屆世大運由德國六大城市共同承辦：埃森、杜塞道夫、米爾海姆、波鴻、哈根與柏林，吸引超過185個國家運動員參加。Eder主席強調大會精神：「身心的卓越，始於比賽，不論勝敗，更重要的是相互溝通與理解。」

菲律賓代表團規模龐大，共派出65名運動員、15名官員，以及25名後勤人員，參與多項賽事。
陳炳清會長與FESSAP董事會主席戴亞明共同表達誠摯謝意，感謝各界友好與企業支持，使菲律賓代表團能順利參與本屆賽事。

特別鳴謝本屆代表團團長黃美麗女士，以及副團長、慈善企業家劉振偉先生；菲律賓航空王家煙先生、Peter Quintana先生等。

同時感謝Christian Tan（Healthy Options）、PAGCOR主席Alejandro Tengco、陳永栽集團第三代掌門人陳耀庭（Hun Hun Tan）、OMNI電氣照明、ASICS Tiger、KELME體育用品、HENN體育會、蔣曉暐女士（PADDOCK休閒牛仔）、Ruddy Tan 先生（Burlington襪業）、Anil Buxani（Sonak公司）、Lime度假酒店、SEASCAPE Village，以及全國各州立與私立大學院校的熱心參與。

FESSAP執行長林剛陵自豪宣布：菲律賓男籃與男排雙雙打入前16名，這是多年努力與積極備戰的成果。其他參賽項目包括：田徑、羽毛球、游泳、乒乓球、網球、藝術與韻律體操，以及射箭等。
陳炳清會長更榮膺「菲律賓代表團掌旗官」，由FESSAP董事會一致推舉通過。

I am deeply honored to have received a Certificate of Recognition from the University of Cebu (UC), a distinguished institution and a proud member of the Federation of School Sports Association of the Philippines (FESSAP). This recognition is not just a personal milestone but a celebration of over 20 years of fruitful cooperation in advancing sports development across the country.




​My heartfelt thanks to Atty. Augusto W. Go, Chairman of UC, for acknowledging our longstanding partnership. Your leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence in sports and education.

Further congratulations, Atty. Augusto W. Go, on your recent election as President of the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation, Inc. (CESAFI) for 2025–2026. Your dynamic leadership, visionary guidance, and unwavering commitment to athletic development will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Cebu’s sports landscape. This new chapter is a testament to your enduring influence and dedication to uplifting student-athletes and institutions alike.
I also extend my sincere appreciation to Atty. Baldomero Estenzo, Dean of UC Law and my longtime friend, continues to serve as Vice Chairman of the FESSAP Board of Trustees. His unwavering support has been a cornerstone of our shared mission.

2011: The UC Men’s Basketball Team was nominated by the FESSAP Board of Trustees to represent the Philippines at the 26th World University Games (Summer Universiade) in Shenzhen, China.

2015: UC proudly hosted the Asia Pacific University Games (APUG), further cementing its role as a leader in university-level sports in the region.
