PISSA is the only national high school federation recognized by the International School Sport Federation (ISF) and the FESSAP is the sole national university federation in the Philippines recognized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU).
Both PISSA will participate in the World School Games (WSG) in Bahrain from October 23 to 31, 2024, and the FESSAP in the World University Games (WUG) in Rhine Ruhr City in Germany from July 17 to 27, next year 2025.
Similarly, as popular status will be staged, the
FESSAP President led by Edwin C. Fabro will represent the Philippines as the country’s Flagbearer again in the 32nd World University Games in Rhine Ruhr City in Germany from July 16 to July 17, next year 2025. PISSA President, Mary Go Ng will represent the Philippines as the country’s Flagbearer in the World School Games in Bahrain this October 2024.
Mary Go Ng will also be the Philippines’ Head of Delegation to the World School Games and PISSA Senior Vice President David Ong as her Deputy Head of Delegation, will represent the Philippines in the ISF General Assembly on October 23, 2024, also located in the Capital City of Bahrain, Manama.
FESSAP Chairman of the Board, Tai Lian will be assigned to look for the Philippines’ Head of Delegation in Germany’s World University Games, with two Deputy Heads of Delegations, possibly to be given to both FESSAP Vice Presidents, Terry Chen 陈天从and Tony Huang黄金榕, respectively.
PISSA will participate in the following sports events, these are athletics, basketball, table tennis, archery, lawn tennis, and orienteering.
While FESSAP will participate more in sports competitions such as archery, athletics, tennis, basketball, 3v3 basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, table tennis, chess, swimming, judo, badminton, and wushu.
In the meantime, Elaine Chong, president of the Philippine Wushu Colleges and Clubs Association (PWCCA) with her secretary-general Sean Elijah Siy, has invited FESSAP to attend their victory dinner party on August 4 at Century Park Seafood Restaurant.
The party is to celebrate and recognize the three (3) student-athletes who recently won a gold medal, one silver, and two bronze in the 21st ASEAN University Games in Surabaya, Indonesia.
PWCCA is affiliated with the FESSAP and PISSA in representing the country in wushu competitions.
Aside from congratulating Elaine Chong for her dedication, the FESSAP also congratulates the hardworking PWCCA Vice Presidents Reynold Sy 施清玮, Wilson Tan 陈辉煌, Eric Go Kaw 颜硕良, and Dennis Tan 施应鐸.
FESSAP President Edwin C. Fabro will present a recognition award to the three Wushu student-athletes, they are Johnzenth Gajo, Jennifer Kilapio, and Asher Rifani.

FESSAP and PISSA are recognized by the Asia Pacific University Sports Union (APUSU) and the Asian University Basketball Federation (AUBF).
